From time to time, printer manufacturers release new firmware updates to your printer. Often these updates prevent or restrict the use of third party compatible ink and toner, which limits your choice as a customer.

For some unknown reason, you cannot remove ink cartridges from the Maxify series of printers at will. This means that if you encounter a print quality issue that can't be solved by a standard or deep head clean... You're a bit stuck!

The error code is basically caused by an obstruction within the printer, usually a paper jam but could be any foreign body that has found its way into the printer

Luckily, many Canon printers feature a removable printhead to perform manual cleaning. Removing a printhead can also solve some cartridge recognition issues, as we'll explain later.

One of our biggest customer queries is "how do I install my replacement Epson cartridges, they don't look right?". Our compatible ink cartridges for Epson printers are 'patent free' in order to comply with Epson patents, which means their physical dimensions and chip design might differ to OEM Genuine Epson cartridges and some other compatible cartridges that don't comply with those guidelines.

Many printers have a built in function that can create lined paper, graph paper and even weekly or monthly planner templates, direct from the printer!
